Although not compulsory, the vast majority of Revival visitors dress in period style with many going to great lengths to achieve that authentic look. The resulting step-back-in-time spectacle plays a key role in making the Revival such a unique event.
While you're not required to dress up (unless you qualify for central Paddock access, in which case a jacket and tie is necessary for gentlemen, and a dress or suit for the ladies), you'll feel much more involved if you do. And whether you go for the slick urban look, gentrified country style or chocs-away military aesthetic, it's not difficult or costly to dress appropriately.
We ask that your sartorial choices are made with care. Guests are discouraged from making controversial uniforms and culturally appropriated items a part of their Revival looks. Everyone should feel welcome and respected at Revival; Goodwood therefore reserves the right to ask visitors who are inappropriately attired to leave the event.

Keeping you safe
Please note that bag searches will be in operation at the entry gates to ensure public safety. Our teams will be on site to answer any security queries and can provide assistance. If you'd like to report anything suspicious, please speak to the nearest member of staff. Supporting us at the event are Sussex Police.
The safety and security of everyone at the event is of paramount importance to us. We work continually with Sussex Police and other relevant authorities to reduce risk, taking action to put additional measures in place where needed. Although the national threat level has been raised for some time, there is no known specific threat to our events to cause public concern. Although it's important to be alert and notify staff of anything suspicious, we urge you not to be alarmed.
There will be more extensive dog and bag search procedures for everyone at entrances and you will notice a stronger uniformed police presence throughout the site and the vicinity.
With increased security, access may take longer. Please be prepared for this and allow sufficient time and also bear in mind that if you exit at any stage, you will need to pass through security to re-enter.
You can help the security process by not bringing unnecessary bags, and having your bags ready to be searched as you approach the gates. For any bags you do bring in, please keep them with you at all times, or use our locker facility near Gate 1. We ask for your understanding, patience and cooperation with us and that you also inform your guests and party members of this update.
We also ask for your vigilance on matters of security. If you see or hear anything suspicious, please bring it immediately to the attention of the Police or our Stewards.

If you lose a person from your party, please report to the nearest Information point or to a member of Goodwood staff and then return to the last place you were together. Ideally the staff member will escort you but under no circumstances leave the staff member until you have given us your contact details.
Often, people in the heat of the moment, report an incident and then disappear, making it impossible to find them again. Most people do tend to return to the last place you saw them, so try not to stray too far from that point. If you have children or vulnerable people in your group, you are strongly encouraged to take a photo of them on a mobile device as you enter the event. That way, you won't have to struggle to describe them accurately and what they are wearing.
Children under 12 years, or any members of your party that you feel it appropriate, should wear one of our wristbands that you are able to write your phone number on. These are pre-booked online (choose Tickets Only and then select Children 12 & Under) or by calling Ticket Office on +44 (0)1243 755055.
